Last performed in 1951 at the Citizens Theatre, Glasgow, this captivating play ‘Mary Stewart” by Robert McLellan goes from strength to strength after a change of cast four days before opening night.

Andrea McKenzie as Mary Queen of Scots portrays the extremes of emotion driven by the betrayal and political chicanery of the Nobles of Scotland.

Performed in the outdoors, in a beautiful tree fringed meadow, under fading daylight, then the gloaming and eventually night, with theatre lighting creating an intense sense of spectacle under the canopy of glowing trees.
