Book Launch at Scottish Storytelling Centre

    Sat. 12th April 2.30 pm

    10. ROBERT MCLELLAN_0

The first major collection of the works of Robert McLellan, Scottish dramatist and poet, “Playing Scotland’s Story.” will be introduced in this celebration of a writer whose lyrical writing in Scots has featured in Theatre Alba’s own history.

The company toured McLellan’s dramatised poem ” The Carlin Moth” in 1990 and mounted a second production at the Scottish Storytelling Centre in 2002.
This event includes an overview of McLellan’s achievement by novelist James Robertson, with an open panel discussion by the people who brought this landmark book into being – Heather Gough of Arran Theatre Trust, Colin Donati (editor), Douglas Gifford, Donald Campbell and Alastair Cording.

There will also be a short performed reading from a McLellan playscript by members of Theatre Alba.

Free Event but ticketed. Sat. 12 April.
